christmas in july (er, may)
Just popping in to bring you a little bearded Indy, thanks to the baked apples and cream we had for dessert tonight. Enjoy :)

(Honey Strawberry Jam - recipe here. The only changes I made were using a pectin made for low/no sugar recipes to ensure a good set, and chopping my strawberries in a food processor for a less lumpy jam. P.s. using those beautiful farmer's market strawberries for jam is brilliant, because you get these ruby red jams that practically sparkle, whereas using their store-bought counterparts always results in the most awful shade of grey-pink. Amiright?)
Long-time-no-post. Honestly, "what we've been up to" has been a lot more food-making and canning and other such things, but I'm nervous I'll bore y'all to tears if I only post about food preserving all summer long. And anyways, even though I'm doing a lot of it, we've been doing a heck of a lot of other fun things as well. Like. . .
Bike-riding (to be fair, this picture is several weeks old now, but it's the only one I had on hand of Indy in her adorable helmet. We bought a bike trailer [notice conspicuous box in background] and we load half of our earthly belongings in there with Indy). . .
Ranunculus-loving (mostly because I need more of this farmy-looking goodness in my life, and because they remind me of my favorite flowers - poppies - but with more staying power than 3.4 seconds). . .
New-blogger-mommy-friend-making (Jasmine, who writes here, and her so cute daughter, Audrey). . .
And old-suitcase-turned-new-toybox-enjoying. . .
What have you been up to?
